Welcome to Tailored Arms. By accessing or using our website, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

 

  1. Eligibility To purchase firearms from Tailored Arms, you must:
  • Be at least 18 years of age to purchase long guns and 21 years of age for handguns or comply with the minimum age requirements in your state.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws regarding the purchase, transfer, possession, and ownership of firearms.
  • Agree that all transfers will be conducted through a licensed firearms dealer (FFL).
  • Exceptions: Military personnel stationed in a state other than their legal residence may purchase firearms across state lines. Contact your local FFL receiving the transfer as you may have to provide proof of deployment, residence, etc.
  • Law enforcement officers must provide both their credentials and a letterhead signed by their department’s superior officer stating that the firearm will be used in the execution of the L.E.O.’s duties. We only recognize City Police Officers, County Sheriff Deputies, and State Police (including Highway Patrol) as L.E.O.’s.
  • Some states may not have L.E.O. exemptions. Please contact us BEFORE placing your order.
  • We do NOT ship directly to L.E.O.’s; the order must go to an FFL. We do NOT make exceptions to this policy.

 

  1. State-Specific Compliance Tailored Arms adheres to all state-specific regulations. Below are additional requirements for certain states.
  • California: Firearms must be shipped to a California-licensed FFL with a valid CFLC (California Firearms Licensee Check) number. Certain models, including those not on the California Handgun Roster, may not be legal for sale. High-capacity magazines and certain configurations are restricted.
  • New York: Only firearms compliant with the NY SAFE Act may be shipped. Magazines over the state capacity limit will not be included. Transfers must be completed through a New York-licensed FFL, and the buyer must provide a valid pistol permit or other required documentation.
  • Illinois: Purchasers must provide a valid FOID (Firearm Owners Identification) card and a matching government-issued photo ID. All transfers must comply with the state’s mandatory waiting periods.
  • Connecticut: Customers must provide a valid pistol permit, long gun certificate, or ammunition certificate along with a government-issued photo ID. Only firearms compliant with Connecticut state laws, including assault weapon restrictions, will be sold or shipped.
  • Washington, D.C.: Firearms can only be transferred to the sole licensed dealer in the District. Buyers must comply with the city’s stringent regulations, including mandatory registration and background checks.
  • Massachusetts: Only firearms and accessories approved by the Massachusetts Attorney General’s office will be sold. A valid Massachusetts Firearms Identification Card or License to Carry is required. High-capacity magazines and certain firearm configurations are restricted.
  • Hawaii: No magazines exceeding the state capacity limit will be shipped. Certain models and configurations may also be prohibited by state law.
  • New Jersey: Purchasers must provide a valid Firearms Purchaser Identification Card (FPIC) or handgun permit. Magazines over the state capacity limit will not be shipped. Assault weapons and specific configurations are restricted.
  • Maryland: Only handguns listed on the Maryland Handgun Roster may be sold. Magazines exceeding 10-round capacity are prohibited. Buyers must comply with state-specific handgun qualification licensing requirements.
  • Washington State: As of the recent regulations, only firearms and magazines compliant with the state’s restrictions will be shipped. Transfers must adhere to waiting periods and enhanced background checks.

THIS IS NOT AN EXHAUSTIVE LIST. IT IS THE BUYER’S RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH THEIR STATE AND LOCAL LAWS BEFORE PLACING AN ORDER. TAILORED ARMS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ANY ORDER THAT MAY VIOLATE THESE REGULATIONS.

  1. Payment Terms
  • Prices are listed in U.S. dollars and are subject to change without notice.
  • Accepted payment methods include major credit cards, wire transfers, and other methods specified during checkout.
  • Custom orders require a non-refundable deposit. Full payment is due prior to shipment or transfer.
  1. Shipping and Delivery
  • Firearms and ammunition are shipped only to licensed firearms dealers (FFL).
  • The buyer is responsible for providing accurate FFL information at the time of purchase.
  • Shipping fees and times will be disclosed during checkout.
  • Tailored Arms is not responsible for delays caused by carriers, compliance checks, or regulatory requirements.
  • Shipping Restrictions by State:
    • California: Ammunition sales must comply with California law, including shipment to a licensed ammunition vendor with a valid Ammunition Vendor License.
    • New York: Ammunition cannot be shipped directly to the customer and must be sent to an authorized dealer.
    • Massachusetts: Ammunition may only be sold to customers with a valid Massachusetts Firearms Identification Card or License to Carry.
    • Illinois: Customers must provide a copy of their FOID card and a matching government-issued ID for ammunition sales.
  • Tailored Arms will not ship ANY items to the District of Columbia (Washington D.C.).
  • Tailored Arms will not ship ANY items to the state of Massachusetts.
  • Tailored Arms will not ship ANY AR or AK Parts or Firearms (Including Receivers) to residents of Connecticut, and Illinois.
  • Tailored Arms will not ship ANY AR or AK Firearms (Including Receivers) to residents of Aurora, Highland Park, Deerfield, or Cook County, Illinois.
  • Tailored Arms will not ship any handguns to CA that are not on the DOJ roster. This includes Single Shot Exemption conversions.
  • No AR parts will be shipped to Connecticut. All such orders will be cancelled and the customer will be charged a 5% fee.
  • All firearms sales to Puerto Rico residents are subject to review. Please send in a copy of your Puerto Rico-Issued weapons license after placing your order to [email protected]. Allow up to 5-7 business days for additional processing.
  • Stripped lower receivers will NOT be shipped to the following states:
    • Colorado (Boulder, Denver, Vail)
    • Connecticut
    • Massachusetts
    • Illinois
  • Complete AR and AK receivers will NOT be shipped to the following states:
    • California
    • Colorado (Boulder, Denver, Vail)
    • Connecticut
    • Maryland
    • New Jersey
    • New York
    • Illinois
  • Non-Compliant AR & AK models will NOT be shipped to the following states:
    • California (No “assault weapons” can be shipped.)
    • Colorado (Boulder, Denver, Vail)
    • Connecticut
    • Maryland
    • New Jersey
    • New York
    • Illinois

Please note that Tailored Arms DOES NOT ship high-capacity magazines with firearms to the states listed above. We WILL NOT replace high-capacity magazines with state compliant magazines. We DO NOT offer refunds in place of the magazines.

 

  1. Very Important – Firearm Returns
  • All firearm sales are final. No returns or exchanges will be accepted.
  • In the rare event of a defect, please contact us at [email protected] within 5 business days for further instructions.
  • It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure all orders comply with their local, state, and federal laws before completing the purchase. Tailored Arms is not responsible for non-compliance issues after a purchase is finalized.
  1. Transfers and Background Checks
  • All firearms must be transferred through an authorized FFL in accordance with federal and state laws.
  • Background checks are required and are the responsibility of the buyer. Tailored Arms is not liable if a buyer fails to pass a background check.
  1. Product Information
  • Due to the custom nature of our firearms, all sales are final.
  • Specifications and appearances may vary slightly from descriptions or images.
  • It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure the legality of their selected configuration in their jurisdiction.
  1. Warning and Disclaimer: Tier-1 Pistols Tier-1 pistols are precision-engineered firearms designed for professional use. Due to their high-performance specifications, these pistols require regular maintenance and should only be operated by trained individuals. Improper handling, lack of maintenance, or unauthorized modifications can result in malfunctions or safety hazards. Tailored Arms is not liable for any damages, injuries, or fatalities resulting from misuse, negligence, or failure to adhere to proper operating guidelines. Owners are strongly encouraged to familiarize themselves with the manual provided and consult with a certified firearms instructor if necessary.
  2. Limitation of Liability
  • Tailored Arms is not responsible for misuse, negligence, or illegal use of our products.
  • Liability is limited to the purchase price of the product.
  1. Dispute Resolution
  • Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in the State of Florida.
  • Both parties waive the right to a jury trial.
  1. Modifications to Terms
  • Tailored Arms reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Updates are effective upon posting to our website.
  • Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
