The Torch Tactical is a hand-built, all-steel double-stack 1911 in 9x19mm. Slide and frame are machined from heat-treated 4140 chromoly steel and finished in black DLC, with a 5" V6-ported bull barrel, an optic pocket cut directly into the slide, and ambidextrous controls machined into the frame rather than bolted to it.
Porting runs through the barrel and slide in a six-port arrangement, with two further vertical ports inline through the top of the slide, venting combustion gas upward to help hold the muzzle down as the pistol cycles. The slide is lightened internally, the largest opening sitting behind the optic pocket, reducing reciprocating mass for faster, more efficient cycling.
The optic mounts into the slide rather than onto it. A deep pocket with flared walls captures the optic body on all sides and is cut for the Trijicon RMR and SRO footprints, so the sight sits lower and is held by the slide itself instead of by an adapter plate. A mid-height tritium front post co-witnesses through the optic window without blocking the dot, and stands in on its own.
In the hand: a custom Miller Grip cut with a deep, aggressive texture around the double-stack frame, a flat-faced Miller Trigger with a port through the frame for pre-travel and over-travel adjustment, a competition magwell that widens the opening so a magazine finds the well under speed, and patented ambidextrous Gas Petals — integrated thumb rests machined into the steel of the frame on both sides, where they cannot shift, loosen, or be knocked out of position. An ambidextrous thumb safety runs the pistol the same way left- or right-handed.
Forward of the trigger guard the frame carries an accessory rail and a squared, reinforced strike face surrounding and beneath the muzzle. The full-diameter bull barrel runs without a separate bushing and crowns flush at the muzzle, putting mass out front to steady the pistol as it cycles. Inside, the disconnector ramp and the relief channels cut into the internal frame rails are machined to keep the slide action smooth and to carry grit and fouling out of the rail interface as the pistol runs.
Every Torch Tactical is assembled, fit, and finished by hand, and each pistol is fit as a single unit and stays together as one.
