The Torch DS 1911 is Tailored Arms’ modern tribute to one of America’s most proven pistol platforms. Inspired by the spirit of Operation Torch, this double-stack 1911 carries forward the legacy of the original fighting pistol with modern capacity, refined control, and the kind of hand-fit detail expected from a true custom build.
Built around a hardened 4140 chromoly steel frame and slide, The Torch combines a 5" V6-ported bull barrel, black DLC finish, direct-mount RMR/SRO optic cut, ambidextrous controls, and an aggressively capable 7075 aluminum grip system. The result is a pistol that feels planted, balanced, and purpose-built from the first presentation to the final shot.
Every detail was selected with intent: a high-polished ramp and breech face, toolless guide rod, 9 lb recoil spring, tuned 15 lb mainspring, tactical magwell, built-in ambi thumb rests, and a crisp 2 lb custom trigger. The Torch is not a production pistol dressed up to look custom. It is a hand-fit double-stack 1911 built to honor the past while delivering the control, capacity, and refinement expected from a modern Tailored Arms firearm.
